myQuest is about creating an active and blended learning environment that leads to high completion rates, long-term knowledge retention and effective skills development. Myquest is not an ordinary LMS or online training platform it transforms your existing training programs into an unforgettable hybrid learning experience.

Project Overview

As a LMS Myquest is not only suppose to help you learn but also to engage the user in such a way that the learning experience is memorable The CEO Edan Kertis wanted to combine learning and gaming, they were looking for an experienced team of designers who can help them bring this idea to life, “where learning is so engaging that it does not feel like learning at all”

Challenge

After our initial discussion with the client we realised that the client is facing problem with two aspects of their product

1. The dashboard for the mentor required to be re-designed along with it’s information architecture

2. The design for the quest (one course with multiple lessons in it) was ready but implementing those designs in development was a big challenge.

Solutions

Information Architecture

At the initial stage, researching & planning information architecture was important it helped us to understand which information should come first and which in the last and also what should be left behind.

Wireframing

After having a clear idea of what's important we started with the wireframing of the designs, this helped us to quickly convey our ideas to the client and we were able to make quick alterations in real time.

User Journey

In the current design the user journey was not that smooth the user had to switch multiple screens to complete one task with the help of wireframes we were able to create a much less take taking user journey with less clicks.

Development of the Maps

The design team achieved the designs that the client was hooping for but the real task was to figure out a way to develop those designs We decided to design multiple pattern containing different numbers of missions in it so that it can be dynamic for an example if i want to have a level with 5 missions in it i can combine to different patterns one with the 3 missions in it and the other one with the 2 missions in it and the combination of these two will create a level with 5 missions in it

Our Process & Approach:

  • Weekly Scrum/Demo meeting with a client

As working in agile methodology with weekly meetings we ensure that we are in the right direction and it enables the client to better strategize the product in terms of priorities & executions of another area of a product like marketing & fundraising.

  • Internal Daily Scrum

The project manager conducts daily scrum meetings to discuss the day plan and talk about any challenges that we are facing so that team is clear about goals, & client expectations.

  • Daily reporting

At the end of the day project manager gathers all updates from all team members and processes them into valuable information for the client like

  • Where are we with a feature?
  • Is there any blocker team is facing?
  • Is any attention required from a client?
  • Any waiting approvals from a client?
  • Estimations

We make sure before working on any feature we research well enough on it, make execution plans and provide tentative estimations. This practice is very helpful for product owners to decide product priorities. For example, if any feature is taking 1 month for implementation but adds less value to the customers then it can be de-priorities over the feature which can be done in a week but adds more value to the product.
